Today we’re bringing you the anomaly that is Shane Madej, the doesn’t-believe-in-ghosts ghost hunter.
Who is Shane and why do we have a crush on him?
Shane Madej is one the co-hosts of Buzzfeed’s hit series, Buzzfeed Unsolved. Unsolved is broken up into two subsets: True Crime and Supernatural. Madej is known for being the “antagonist” to Ryan Bergara — Madej is the show’s resident skeptic, constantly finding himself laughing at Bergara’s fear and always looking for scientific or viable (ie. not ghosts) reasons for the things they hear and see on their ghost hunting trips.
But Madej is also the creator of another series: Ruining History. The 9-episode first season is set around revealing the true story behind history and around sharing stories that are not well-known by people. With a panel of guests, Madej becomes the expert on a story and gets to watch his panelists lose their minds with the stories he tells.

Madej manages to be crush-worthy by simply existing and being himself — his personality always shines through the work he does and we can see how hard he works to release amazing work. And even though he’s constantly trying to bring Ryan Bergara back to earth, he doesn’t stray away from being supportive of his friends and going the extra mile for them (including dressing up on ghost hunting trips).
