We want to provide you with a reason to be able to take a break from your busy day and revel in our crushes greatness. For this Crush Alert we go down memory lane and show you how a little boy grew up in front of cameras and just recently jumped onto the chance to embody none other than John Deacon in the Oscar- winning Queen Biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ Joe Mazzello.

Who is Joe Mazzello and why do we have a crush on him?

Joseph Francis Mazzello III was born on the 21. September 1983 in Rhinebeck, New York, to Joseph and Virginia Mazzello, an older sister, Mary, and a younger brother, John. After a few short appearances in different movies, little Joe wrote movie history in the age of only 10 years of age, while he embodied Tim Murphy in the very first of the Jurassic Park movies back in 1993.

Seeing Joe in action

After Jurassic Park, movies like the 1995 drama The Cure and the 1998 melodrama Simon Birch followed. For each role, Joe received a Young Artist Award.

For both movies, here’s some good advice, in case you haven’t seen them so far, or even if you know them: You will need tissues for every possible situation tears could make their way down your cheeks. At some point, you will laugh out loud and in others, your heart will ache because you get showered with love and so many other feelings at the same time.

These movies will also teach you a lesson: a lesson about life and its daily struggles. You will feel and think differently about it all after you finish The Cure and Simon Birch.

The 2010 HBO miniseries The Pacific was another chance for Joe to shows his talent in which he embodied Corporal Eugene Sledge, where he did absolutely amazingly next to co-star Rami Malek, with whom he crossed paths again a few years later.

After some short bits in The Social Network, which showed Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s shoot to fame, you might notice Joe in some scenes as a co-star of Jesse Eisenberg.

Alongside Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy and Rami Malek, Joe took on the role of John Deacon in the Oscar-winning Queen Biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, which released 2018. If you’re a die-hard Queen fan or if it’s just a band you listen to from time to time, this movie will give you another take on this unique band and Freddie Mercury’s story and won’t let anyone of us untouched.

How to keep up to date with Joe

Joe isn’t as active as some of us may like when it comes to Twitter.

If you’re looking for updates according his work as a director, as actor…or if you’re looking for something so laugh: Joe’s Instagram is the way to go! You won’t just find out what a great sense of humour Joe has, as he has to correct people constantly how to spell his last name!

You will also see him being very competitive when it comes to show of the perfectly choreographed ‘BAB dance’ and we also see the friendship, this amazing bromance between him and Ben Hardy, which started during Bohemian Rhapsody, literally blooming!

Joe is very well aware of our love for his friendship with Ben, which he uses to give us funny bits and pieces on his social media. (including Cardboard-Ben!)

I love writing, music, especially concerts and books!
In my spare time you will find me at my favourite bookstore checking on all the new releases, at a coffee shop reading or writing my own little bits and pieces. In that time, I mostly listen to my favourite songs by McFly, 5 Seconds Of Summer, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Green Day, The Rolling Stones or the Beatles.
And I LOVE to wear something with stripes and polka dots!
