Who is Brendon and why do we have a crush on him?
Brendon Urie is one of the founding members of the ever-glorious Panic! At The Disco. Although he is currently the only official member of p!atd, Brendon has managed to become a force to be reckoned with — his powerhouse vocals (which he’s had flaunted since the release of A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out) have made him a staple of the alternative rock music scene.
Brendon also founded the Highest Hopes Foundation, a charity that “support[s] the efforts of non-profit organizations that lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights.” On the p!atd website, Brendon wrote. “This is dedicated to all people + communities who are subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation + gender identity.”
Brendon recognizes his position in society and knows the kind of impact this decision would have on society as a whole — and we are proud to see him using his platform to continue to support people all around the world. His philanthropic work makes Brendon not just an insanely talented musician, but an insanely kind and thoughtful one, as well.
