Always think positively.
Its important to look at things for an optimistic point of view. Sometimes, we look at things and immediately start judging or thinking badly of it. We miss out on good things and people because of negative thoughts. One pessimistic thought can ruin our day, or do a lot worse. Pessimistic thoughts can lead to us wasting time on things that don’t matter. Who wants to think about all the bad things, when we can think positively?
Dwelling on negative comments or thoughts, doesn’t do us any good. Yet it seems like that’s what most people spend their time doing. We spend our time thinking about the rude things people say to us or the people we don’t like when we can think about those who do appreciate us. There are plenty of people out there who want you to be happy. Why waste time on those who want us to be sad?
Society works in the strangest of ways. We tend to focus on the good instead of the bad and we forget about what truly matters. Our own happiness. We stress over the smallest of things and forget that we are loved. We forget, as well, that we have the power to make someone else happy without even trying.
Here are a few ways you can spread positivity and start thinking positively;
1. Send out positive messages.

Caption your Instagram photo with a positive message, tweet your favorite quote, or make a video like this one to make someone else smile! Maybe stick cute anonymous messages on the walls of your school or favorite coffee shop! Spreading kind words to make others want will make you happy as well. (Pro Tip: Follow your own advice!)
2. Compliment a random person.

Did you pass by a cute person in the hall today? It’s probable, but did you tell them they’re cute? We give out so many cute compliments in our head but when do we ever say those things aloud? A kind word can go a long way.
3. Write a list of things that make you happy.
Write out a list of all the things that make you smile. You’ll feel joy as you write and joy whenever you look at it again.
4. Say ‘thank you’ and ‘I’m sorry’.
If someone does something kind for you, thank them. It’ll make them smile. If you made a mistake, apologize. Even if you weren’t wrong, apologize and make someone’s day. Who knows, maybe apologizing will make you feel better too?
5. Smile.
Sometimes the key to making another person smile, is smiling at them. Happiness is contagious. It’s that simple!
You have the ability to make another person smile. Do not forget that because spreading positivity can only bring you closer to receiving it. Don’t stress over the little things and remember that you matter. Think positively. Smile at a stranger and compliment the cute girl or guy who walks past you in the hall or on the streets! Random acts of kindness can go a long way. We all have those days when we wish everything would end and a kind gesture, no matter how small, can make those days a little easier to get through.
Remember you deserve happiness, no matter what and have a happy spring day!
