2017 is finally going to end. If one was to ask me if I am happy to let this year go, I would have answered in affirmative. While 2017 brought ample opportunities in professional sphere, in personal sphere, it just took away the peace of my mind. I became a bit more anxious, a bit more restless and a bit more introverted.
People did not help much and books too could not offer a helping hand. Well, I am just gearing for 2018 to overcome these challenges but by the time we reach that point, let’s take a look at my 2017:
Khan Market and Smokehouse Delhi
The year began with the surprise visit from my brother. He came with an aim – to help move my lazy arse and get me explore the city I have been living in since birth.
After exploring Humayun Tomb, we went to one of the poshest places in Delhi and weren’t disappointed. I bought my first book of the year from Khan Market, satiated my craving for sweet with cupcakes and spent my evening at Smokehouse Delhi, enjoying place’s delicacies and specialities. It was a day well spent.
Walking down the memory lane
I graduated in the year 2016 from Miranda House. The college wasn’t just a place to gain knowledge; instead, it was a safe haven where I could engage in discussions, think and talk about things I would have never imagined doing in school.
So, my friends decided to celebrate my birthday in the place where I feel happiest. I got books, diaries and lot of wishes.
Trip to Mumbai
Summers came and the family decided to take a break. We usually make a trip to hill stations but this year, we decided to explore a city. I reached the day after Justin Bieber’s concert but even after he departed, I could feel a vibe in the air. The trip to Mumbai was good but I expected it to be better. Anyway, it was a well deserved break for all of us.
A day to celebrate writing at CelebMix
This year, I completed two years at CelebMix and my journey has not been anything less than awesome. Taking an initiative to increase productivity, editors started a game where every participating writer got points for writing a piece.
I participated in two such games and luckily won in one of them. As a result, I received gifts from the host and it made my day. This particular event made me realize how important initiatives are and the kind of impact they can bring to a team.
All in all, 2017 was productive and exhausting. Next year, I plan to slow down a bit, giving myself some time to decide what I need to do next.
I haven’t made any resolutions. Have you? Share your 2017 in pictures via tweet @Fuzzable.
