When we launched Fuzzable last year, on the first of January in 2017, we were excited about a new chapter in our journalism careers. The majority of our writers came from CelebMix, our sister site, and we wanted to create a new hub for young people to come together and share their thoughts and feelings with the world. We did that with our ongoing Fuzzable blogs – and so much more!
What we’re doing
We’ve been working hard to make Fuzzable the place to come if you’re looking for advice and news on lifestyle, fashion, books, entertainment and celebrities. Over the past several months, we’ve really expanded our beauty section, from covering subscription boxes and new beauty crazes, to getting involved in product launches and events, like the recent Spectrum X Disney collaboration.
We’ve also branched out into covering celebrity news, TV shows and popular culture. When Fuzzable launched, we wanted to serve as a companion to CelebMix, the site that covers celebrity news, but we’ve now found our own feet, and picked up some fantastic new writers who have made Fuzzable their own. This new string to our bow makes us a ‘one stop shop’ if you’re in the mood for a read, and we’re proud to cover a little bit of everything.
Why we’re different
The reason Fuzzable is so different to fashion magazines, lifestyle brands and celebrity gossip sites is because our content is written by young people, for young people. Heck, we’re not perfect – we make spelling mistakes, we upload super blurry photos that nobody can see properly, and some of our personal blog posts haven’t always made sense – but that’s what we’re here for.
Every single person who writes for Fuzzable does so voluntarily, in their own spare time, while juggling the pressures of everyday life, whether that’s school, college or a job. But we all have one thing in common: we love to write, and we’re passionate about sharing our thoughts and feelings with the world.
What’s next?
We’ve come so far already, and we couldn’t be prouder as a team. We’d like to take the opportunity to thank every single person who has visited the website, either as a one-off or a regular.
We write for you – and we’re so glad you’ve followed us on our journey so far.
To our incredible writers – thank you for your ongoing commitment to making Fuzzable so much fun; without you, we’d be nothing. No, literally, we’d be a blank web page on the internet sat crying into cyberspace.
We don’t know exactly where we’re headed just yet, but we’ve got some awesome plans for the rest of the year, including the celebration of Pride Month, with a new series of articles heading your way soon. Oh, and of course, we’ll be covering other holidays, like Halloween, Christmas and New Year, and we’ll be back to celebrate our second birthday come January 1st.
